Hardcore
From the Bay Area (California), Outta Pocket formed in 2020 amidst a vibrant hardcore scene, with members drawn from projects like Scumdog who quickly propelled the band under the underground radar. From their first releases — a demo in 2020 followed by their debut EP — the quartet began to establish a brutal and uncompromising style, rooted in beatdown hardcore while flirting with riffs bordering on death-thrash and crushing tempos.
Their first full-length album, Waste Of A Man (2023, Streets Of Hate), crystallizes this incandescent energy: seven tracks that hit each other like sonic punches, including a direct cover of Special Move's "Bloodbath" and vocals brimming with visceral rage. The album was well-received within the hardcore community, considered one of the standout records of the beatdown scene that year.
